What Is A Treatment Companion?
In order for you to receive outpatient medical detox treatment, you will need a treatment companion. A treatment companion is a trusted individual of your choosing, who will stay with and support you 24/7 for the first 7-11 days (known as the “acute phase”) of your treatment. Once you have completed your acute phase treatment, your treatment companion will no longer need to stay with you at all times. However, we would like to have your treatment companion attend all your follow-up appointments with you until your full 35-day detox period is completed.
